Spartan's Love Commits to Alabama Give Mountain Brook rising senior Wilson Love credit for looking around. He thought about college football programs like Duke, Stanford and Vanderbilt, among others. But in the end, it appears the blood in his veins only runs Crimson red. "Wilson is just from an Alabama family,'" Mountain Brook coach Chris Yeager said Saturday afternoon. "I didn't really have much doubt what Wilson was going to do. His brother Tyler is already on scholarship at Alabama. I didn't think those brothers were going to get split up. I didn't really see there being that much drama in his decision." Yeager said his 6-foot-4, 270-pound lineman gave a secret pledge to Alabama coach Nick Saban "about three weeks ago" but decided to make it official at A-Day today. Mountain Brook junior Wilson Love, the brother of current Crimson Tide tackle Tyler Love, opted to announce this morning that he will sign with the University of Alabama next February. Love told BamaOnline.com that Nick Saban has known about his commitment for three months. "Alabama was the only place for me really," Love told the Web site. "My brother is here, my family loves the university and it just made sense. "Coach Saban and the whole coaching staff were happy when I let them know earlier. I just felt like today was the right day to make it public, and hopefully we will have several more before the weekend is over." At 6-foot-4, 275 pounds, Love is a standout defensive lineman for the Spartans, and could ultimately figure into a number of positions at Alabama, including tight end and/or offensive and defensive line. TiderInsider.com reported that Love held scholarship offers from Clemson, Duke, Stanford and Vanderbilt.
